Sauce is a lime green, chubby quadrupedal cag with a gelatinous body, a brother to Bismuth, Granola, Glass, and Chalk. His body is overall very plump, with a shiny green color, a tail as large as his torso, giant protruding eyes, and short stubs for legs. He also has three whiskers on both sides of his head.

Personality

Sauce is, on the surface, an outgoing person who wants to meet and chat with the people he meets, and enjoys sharing about himself and his hobbies. He also wants to allow others to make use out of his properties as he sees that he can be helpful. However, he is internally quite shy around others and takes extra care to understand what those around him are and aren't comfortable with, even if he himself doesn't have a notion or care for such. He tends to overthink more revealing or "strange" interactions (as defined by others), worrying if he was too much. Around his siblings, he's more relaxed and truer to himself, being more impulsive and unfiltered. He often vents to Bismuth.

Sauce takes a hobby in doodling, which was brought to him by Linda. Sauce also looks up towards Xavier as a more optimal version of himself, as they both have similar aspirations with Xavier not worrying about judgement. THE EVIL FIEND treats him as if he were an old acquaintance despite Sauce acting defensively against her, as she exploited him before he gained his current personality.

Personality shifts

Sauce was originally portrayed as an empty-headed creature without much care of anything, being perpetually contempt. Sauce drifted into a more hyperaware personality as Aaden begun relating into him more, before being redefined into a more accurate portrayal of who Sauce is.

Characteristics

His body is composed of an elastic material which can easily be bent, molded, and carved. He is unable to feel any pain, and is able to choose to "reset" his body at any point, instantly reverting all changes made back to normal. The inside of his body is consistent all the way through, with no organs; the only cavity being his mouth. In this way, he does not have any biological functions, and does not need to eat nor breathe. Stretching acts more like extrusion, with the material extending after a certain amount of stress—though it is possible that Sauce may deliberately control this. If segmented, only the largest part nearest the perceived head region remains in control. Sauce is also only able to move whatever limbs are defined in the way they normally move. His body form and mental state are independent and do not control each other.

Between his siblings, he sits at a medium of malleability and elasticity.

His eyes, being so large, sit mostly outside of his head without any clear socket, still able to move and focus normally with the added bonus of more oblique angles. Since they're so large, he also has a wider field of view, with the downside that his vision can be eclipsed by his own eye and radically contrasting viewpoints blend haphazardly. While Sauce is able to blink, he does not have any eyelids, with the motion instead being achieved by instantly submerging the eyes into the head, or conversely shooting them back out. His tongue is infinite and larger than average. His entire body, while smooth, is not wet or moist, more similar in material to rubber. He can be melted and frozen, becoming more pliable or more rubbery on either extreme, at the loss of movement.

His speech bubble is the simple label model, with the text and connector colored his body color with no infill. The typeface is highly rounded and neat—the same as his handwriting.

Style guide

When drawing Sauce, try to accentuate his squishy form, but don't overly exaggerate it (he's not slimy). His head, legs, and eyes are simple spheres, and his torso and tail are cylinders. His ears should be prominently round at the tips. Most importantly, his eyes protrude out of the head, and should not be drawn flat on the head's surface—preferably most of the way out. You should not imply any fur or texture, as his surface is smooth and featureless. If you are shading, his surface should be highly shiny and somewhat specular.
