Bismuth
Bismuth is a red quadrupedal cag with a gelatinous body, a brother to Sauce, Granola, Glass, and Chalk. His body has the common structure of quadrupedal cags, but with two triangular cheek tufts, a pointed tail, an occasional fur tuft at the chest, and closed eyes.
Personality
Bismuth is a logical and wise person, easily able to both deflate and cause arguments in a casual tone. Despite that, he can be hard to talk to if you don't already know him, rarely sharing about himself. He is often practical and straight-to-the-point, but can equally care for others with ease, a benefit for Sauce.
He spends a good amount of time stylizing and shaping his body to the shape he prefers.
Characteristics
His body is composed of an elastic material which can easily be shaped and contorted without too much resistance. He is unable to feel any pain, and is able to choose to "reset" his body at any point, instantly reverting all changes made back to normal. The inside of his body is consistent all the way through, with no organs; the only cavity being his mouth. In this way, he does not have any biological functions, and does not need to eat nor breathe. After contortion, there is usually some springiness to the material comparable to oobleck, but it settles fairly quickly. If segmented, only the largest part nearest the perceived head region remains in control. Bismuth is also only able to move whatever limbs are defined in the way they normally move. His body form and mental state are independent and do not control each other.
Between his siblings, he's more deformable but still bouncy.
His eyes are portrayed as permanently closed diagonal slits, however he is able to see from them as if they were open. His entire body, while smooth, is not wet or moist, more similar in material to rubber. He can be melted and frozen, becoming more pliable or more rubbery on either extreme, at the loss of movement.
His speech bubble is the simple label model, with the text and connector colored his body color with no infill. The typeface is regular but a bit inconsistent—the same as his handwriting.
Style guide
When drawing Bismuth, try to imply his squishy form, but don't exaggerate or overly allude to it. His head is a sphere, while his torso and legs are cylinders, his feet are hemispheres, and his ears are cones. Leave the eyes closed, and rely on other bodily motions to designate what they would show instead. You should not imply any fur or texture, as his surface is smooth and featureless. If you are shading, his surface should be highly shiny and somewhat specular.
