Granola

Granola is a blue quadrupedal cag with a gelatinous body, a brother to Sauce, Bismuth, Glass, and Chalk. His body and limbs are round in shape, with a shiny blue color, a thick but shorter tail, and circular eyes which sit flush on his face.

Personality

Granola generally comes off as uncaring and monotone, but is equally inquisitive and standoffish, usually confronting or defending against others when challenged. He is also extremely media literate, being aware of and highly versed in most communities, fandoms, and hobbies, whether or not he engages with it in any way.

Characteristics

His body is composed of an elastic material which can be configured with a noticeable amount of give. He is unable to feel any pain, and is able to choose to "reset" his body at any point, instantly reverting all changes made back to normal. The inside of his body is consistent all the way through, with no organs; the only cavity being his mouth. In this way, he does not have any biological functions, and does not need to eat nor breathe. While his body does resist at a higher rate the more it is compressed or stretched, there is no upper limit, and may relax into such a state. If segmented, only the largest part nearest the perceived head region remains in control. Granola is also only able to move whatever limbs are defined in the way they normally move. His body form and mental state are independent and do not control each other.

Between his siblings, he's more elastic but still deformable.

While his eyes are large, they're depicted as being a decal, with the surface flush to the curvature of the head, the pupil appearing as if it were translating within the circular area rather than the eye itself rotating. Additionally, while he has eyelids, they don't show a visible seam where the eye "sits" in the head. His entire body, while smooth, is not wet or moist, more similar in material to rubber. He can be melted and frozen, becoming more pliable or more rubbery on either extreme, at the loss of movement.

His speech bubble is the simple label model, with the text and connector colored his body color with no infill. The typeface is regular but a bit messy, sometimes disconnected as each part is drawn in one or two strokes—the same as his handwriting.

Style guide

When drawing Granola, try to imply an elastic form, but lean less into squishability and avoid exaggerating it. All of his limba are spheres, with the legs being more oblong and the ears being cones. The eyes, most importantly, must be drawn flat on the head's surface, and should not protrude outwards in any way. You should not imply any fur or texture, as his surface is smooth and featureless. If you are shading, his surface should be highly shiny and somewhat specular.

While not necessary, a defining feature is the bottom of the mouth ending where the head's surface ends in perspective, a purely stylistic feature.
