As with all works of art, those who like the work might want to use it for their own purposes. Each artist, in turn, has their own rules that passersby must follow. I'm no different, but I enjoy permissiveness and freedom! This blog will cover both the legal and personal boundaries of my work.

In general

I typically license most of my work under CC BY-SA 4.0. For technical projects, I'll use the MIT License instead. Anything relating to CelLua Machine uses GPLv3.

However, not all of my work will use these licenses. It is important that you first check the license information before using. A good way to check (at least on this wiki) is to view the infobox on a file's page (such as File:Generic aadenboy cats.jpeg) and looking at the "License" section. If the option is available, I'd also prefer if you link back to here, either via hotlinking or via some other method.

The sections below are of my personal preferences and aren't legal boundaries.

Characters

I've tried to revise this section multiple times to fit into one paragraph, but it hasn't worked as I've realized I feel differently for each of my characters. This section still feels rather off as I'm not sure how I want to speak about it.

That being said, here are some catch-all rules. Note that this is subject to change at any time.

I am okay with
  • Fan art! I love fan art!
  • Cameos, references, or general inspiration.
  • Headcanons.
I tend to vary with
  • Fan-fiction. Generally, I'm more permissive if they're less personal.
  • Reinterpreting or shipping said characters in particular.
I am not comfortable with
  • Roleplay of my characters, though there may be specific exceptions.
DO NOT
  • Portray any NSFW or fetish content of my characters. I am a minor, and so are some of my characters.
  • Create AI chatbots or impersonate as them.

Art

I make art for fun! While I do plan on making commissions—and the time for me to restrict those will come—all of my art is typically free to use under the license provided for it. I am fully okay with you using my art for purposes such as profile pictures, assets, and whatnot. Do take discretion of the above section, though! I like to draw my characters a lot!

Systems

You are free to use and build upon any of my systems and ideologies like pedalism.

Technology

This broadly encompasses all of my repositories and any code I make. I often use the MIT License for these, but I'm also informally not worried about their use elsewhere. Go ham!
